HOT TOMato soup
Make your cozy even cozier by adding a little kick to your homemade tomato soup—just add Hot Tom and a fresh grilled cheese sandwich!
Ingredients
1 medium onion, chopped
2 tbsp. olive oil (or 2 tbsp. butter)
3 cloves garclic, minced
2 28-ounce cans diced tomatoes
1 1/2 cups broth (or water)
1 tbsp. kosher salt
1 tsp. black pepper
1 tsp. oregano
1 tsp. sugar (or honey)
1 cup half and half
1 jar Hot Tom Original
Directions
Gently cook onion in olive oil or butter on medium heat until translucent. Add garlic and saute for 1 more minute.
Add tomatoes, broth, and seasonings. Bring to a boil, then turn heat to low and simmer for 20 minutes.
Turn off heat. Add half and half and one jar of Hot Tom. Using an immersion blender, puree to desired chunkiness/thickness, adding extra broth or water to thin to desired consistency.
Taste for seasoning and serve with a grilled cheese sandwich!
